Stockgroup and Credential Direct® Empower Investors by Offering Real-Time Snap Quotes of the TSX and TSX Venture Order Books

TORONTO, ONTARIO - Feb. 23, 2005 – Credential Direct customers are now getting a different, and much deeper, view of pre-trade information. Stockgroup Media Inc. and TSX Datalinx are making real-time snap quotes of the TSX and TSX Venture order book available to Credential Direct. The product allows retail investors access to a real-time snapshot of the order book instead of just the best bid and ask quotes for a stock.

"We believe Credential Direct is setting a new benchmark in terms of delivering meaningful and critical trading information to online investors," said Lothar Fabian, Vice President, Credential Direct. "In simple terms, we are now allowing everyday online investors to see a real-time snapshot of the TSX and TSX Venture order books, and we're offering this service at no cost to our clients."

Together, Credential Direct, Stockgroup and TSX Datalinx are taking   steps to provide greater openness and transparency in the pre-trade   market. Everyday investors will no longer feel disadvantaged when executing orders because they now have access to professional market information.

"Order Book data is widely used by the professional investment community and active online traders to manage and reduce trading costs. It allows investors trading TSX and TSX Venture stocks to see the size of orders at various bid and ask price levels and provides key information about where the true market is, where it is moving, how best to price an order, and when to place an order," said Eric Sinclair, Senior Vice President, TSX Datalinx.

In the professional marketplace this is known as managing an order - the trading process most likely to minimize trading costs and maximize the value of a trade.

"Stockgroup continues to be an innovator. By working with TSX Datalinx, we were able to develop a unique product that will empower all investors with critical market book data. Stockgroup is pleased to offer this solution to brokerage firms who want their clients to benefit from this information," said Bryan Buggey, Director of Financial Content and Software for Stockgroup.

Investors should check with their brokers for further information on data products and services that are currently available to them.
