Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is about an organization knowing, managing, and improving its impact on the economy, the environment, and society as a whole. We demonstrate a commitment to social responsibility by the establishment of an internal Leadership Group and Champion Team, as well as a Sustainable Procurement Working Group to help guide us in the integration of CSR into our business operations.
We have begun reducing our environmental footprint by launching the Take the Paper Challenge program – a campaign aimed at minimizing paper usage and saving trees.
As a member of the Vancouver Social Purchasing Portal, we use socially and environmentally responsible suppliers. We also encourage environmentally friendly and alternative transportation methods by providing discounted transit passes and bike storage.
Giving back to the community
Each year, we actively participate in the Run for the Cure, Relay for Life, and United Way Campaign. Our Employee Philanthropy Committee organizes various fundraising events and activities throughout the year, including Jeans Day every Friday for a donation to the charities our employees select.
